Join us in Messina, a 1920’s Parisian Jazz club, for “Much Ado About Nothing.” As soldiers arrive from the Great War, the people of France are ready to celebrate, rebuild and redefine social norms. Prohibition, occurring in the United States, is just a blip of international news in Paris, where pre-war values are tossed aside. Jazz is fashionable, and luxurious parties are thrown by the elite at every opportunity. People come to dance, celebrate and drink. It is a “new age” and Messina welcomes all!! Cut to just 90 minutes of fast paced action, Shakespeare on Clark’s production of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing is filled with love, (some who love to hate, some who love for love’s sake), and compassion; after everyone comes to their senses; in one way or another: “Some Cupid kills with arrows, some with traps.”
