This magical holiday performance will enchant and amaze audiences as Clara and her Nutcracker embark on a marvelous adventure to the Land of Sweets. Alma Dance Theater’s The Nutcracker features acclaimed international ballet stars and actors from around the world, Alma Dance School’s students, and our own guest stars: children from our special needs program.

Monarch's The Nutcracker ballet is a twist on the classic version of The Nutcracker, interwoven with bits and pieces of nostalgic past, illuminating present, and visionary futuristic storyline . With a familiar "Wizard of Oz" feeling as you watch the story unfold, this show gives us all the feels! Principal dancers from the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago will make a special guest appearance as the Cavalier and Sugar Plum Fairy to surprise and delight our audience with an exquisite pas de deux.
